Students in Mrs. Rajtar’s classroom read There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow by Lucille Colandro and explored the chemical reaction between baking soda and vinegar through a hands-on experiment. There was visible delight as students observed the fizzy reaction, made predictions, and connected the story to their science learning, bringing both literacy and inquiry to life.
